World Champions Spain Receive Hero’s Welcome in Madrid

Spain’s national team returned to Madrid aboard a special flight after defeating Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final to lift the world title for the second time.
The delegation departed Newark on Iberia flight IB1410, operated by an Airbus A350-900 registered EC-MYX, which landed at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport at around 14:30 local time. Hundreds of supporters gathered at Terminal 4, welcoming the players with Spanish flags and chants.
➡️ Following the airport reception, the team is scheduled to attend official ceremonies with members of the Spanish Royal Family and government representatives. They will then take part in an open-top bus parade through the streets of Madrid before celebrating with fans at Cibeles Square.
